OneWorld Health is participating in Open Source Drug Development with pharmaceutical companies to speed research on treatments for neglected diseases. Our collaborative partnerships are dedicated to performing an international search with researchers around the world to find promising solutions to neglected diseases. We work closely with the lead originators and inventors, fund drug development, and secure the rights to bring innovative medicines to people in the developing world. For compounds that have moved beyond the research stage, we are particularly interested in efficacy, cost of synthesis, chemical stability, toxicity profile and available preclinical and clinical data.
